 Need for space exploration


We, humans tend fight for almost anything be it love, property, wealth and most importantly political power. We bring destruction upon our Mother Earth, the only planet known to harbour life. But do we ever consider how little we are! We are not even the biggest animal. Consider your size to the size of Earth, and then compare its size to that of Jupiter and then with the Sun. Still not feeling small yet. Consider that our Sun is of the average stars and there are stars in our galaxy which are a million times greater than the Sun.Then we can mention that even our galaxy is not the largest among the thousands of galaxies.

 Coming to our advancement in space exploration, we have only succeeded in landing moon. Though we have send probes to Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and some even far off(the Voyager_1), human travel is still a dream.The main limitations are our body and fuel. Though we have an amazing body(brain that can process a quadrillion information per second, eyes which can sense a single photon, nose which can differentiate a thousand odours,and many more) but still unfit for space travel. Our dependency on gravity, food, oxygen, prone to radiation damage and a low lifespan limits our capability. The next hindrance comes from our technology. Its not efficient for long space travels. The machines tend to degrade and fuels not enough to move through the vast spaces.
But there are hopes and its again nature that comes to our help. Tardigrades are known to survive the space environment. We can learn from them to improve ourselves. The fuel problem can be eradicated when we can understand the workings of particles. If people all around the world can come together to solve this problem we can eradicate this problem sooner and enjoy space travel.Joint efforts from various space agencies like NASA,ISRO,SPACE-X etc are required to handle it.

Spider webs are already strong enough to restrain small insects unlucky enough to fly into them, and soon, they may be capable of carrying the weight of a person. In a new study published in 2D Materials , Nicola Pugno at the University of Trento in Italy and his team detail how they cranked arachnids' already impressive metabolic process up to 11 by adding graphene and carbon nanotubes to a spider's drinking water. Afterward, the spider produced silk as it normally would, but the silk was five times stronger, putting it on par with the likes of pure carbon fibres and Kevlar - the strongest materials on Earth. A new bioglue that could seal wounds in 60 seconds

Scientists have developed an elastic, adhesive surgical glue that could transform emergency treatments by sealing up critical wounds in the skin or the organs, without the need for staples or sutures.The gel is based on methacryloyl-substituted tropoelastin (MeTro for short), a hybrid elastic protein, and can be squirted onto internal and external wounds to seal them up and encourage healing.According to the international team of researchers behind the glue, it could quite literally be a lifesaver, sealing up wounds in 60 seconds without stopping the natural expanding and relaxing of the organ or the skin it's applied to.To be clear, for now the trials are limited to animal models.
